our mission

The Norwalk Film Festival's mission is to cultivate a connected, inclusive, and informed storytelling community by supporting industry professionals and emerging creative talents. We foster meaningful opportunities for audiences to engage with and celebrate filmmaking and storytelling - in all its forms.

The Norwalk Film Festival was founded by a grassroots group of filmmakers, production creatives, community cultural leaders, and movie lovers living and working in Norwalk.  The festival celebrates, and strives to amplify, emerging voices with diverse backgrounds through storytelling. The goal of the volunteer-based NFF committee is to bring local communities together and stimulate conversations generated by the stories we showcase.
